Endings

Our last day is action-packed with a Staff versus Student kickball game, which ended in a tie this year after a hard-fought battle, pizza party, and emotional goodbyes. My students are leaving our campus and moving into the middle school which means we will not see one another. Some of us exchange tight hugs, kind words, and promises to email one another. Others count down the last seconds and bolt out the gates into the future. All of us grew together this year. We learned about new things as we worked to master concepts and how to build relationships.
What happens at your school on the last day?

As Rowling’s quote says, one can’t go through the days sharing life without ending up as a team. Best wishes to my students as they move into a new chapter. I am honored to have spent the year together.
Remember to stay curious and read!

Go adventure, read, and change your world.
